Rubber Johnny is a six-minute experimentle short film and music video directed by Chris Cunningham in 2005, using music composed by Aphex Twin .
This short film I found very abstract it was weird and slightly scary. The whole film was shot in the dark with a few shots of a alien dog creature, none of it seemed to make sense. I personally wouldn’t class this film, as a short film it is more like a music video. There isn’t really a story line at all which is why it is more like a music video. There are also a lot of special effects used which is quite unconventional for a short film as they tend to be quite simple usually. The director Chris Cunningham appears in this short film as the alien that isn’t usually as many short films have unknown actors in them. As this sort film is so random it make is even better as a short film doesn’t have to be a structured film with and equilibrium structure it can be just an idea, which is what this is.
