Tetra Vaal By Neill Blomkamp

This film by Neill Blomkamp is a perfect example if his own personal style. After watching a few of his short films i have noticed he often mixes reality with special digital effects and robots it is something very unique and is constantly tricking the audience and builds intrigue as to how this is being done in this surreal world he has created. In this film in particular it is quite obvious Neill Blomkamp favours shooting in a documentary style as also in his short film 'Yellow' this style is demonstrated. Usually Neill Blomkamp doesn't have a clear narrative it is just and ideas, this film however actually has a narrative and like most short films has a hiding meaning within it as he repeatedly asks the question 'what if?'.This film is a little unconventional for a short film as normally short films are quite low budget however this short film as well as other short films of by this director look like they were shot on quite a high budget. I quite like this film by Neill Blomkamp as i think the whole idea is quite weird and kind of sci-fi although that is what i think i like about his individual style.
